Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany
For songwriters who dont sing or perform it is extremely hard to make ones mark in the music business because they dont have a platform to present and promote their work. This is more or less the situation that I, Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany, have been confronted with since I started writing songs in 1978. My idea is to complement my songwriting capabilities with the "helping hands" of excellent artists, musicians and innovative producers. In the age of the internet it has become easier to communicate and collaborate with musicians and producers all over the world. I am utilizing the internet and pursuing the idea of a conceptual studio band with a frequently changing lineup of artists. I call this project the "Rob B. Project" since I supply the melodies and/or lyrics of a song and other musicians/producers/songwriters contribute their talents and skills to make it come to life.

Lyrics
KISSING BRIDGES [Verse] I love the covered bridges Here in Lancaster County And the thumping sound the wood makes From the cars and times bounty [Verse] Most of them are painted red But a few are white stained too And folks say it's good luck to honk As you drive through [Chorus] Mama called them kissing bridges Back when I was young For many couples strolled across them and would try to sneak in one No matter if it's raining Or the day is blessed with sun Kissing bridges in Pennsylvania, I'm sure you'll find one [Verse] Some of the covered bridges Span over a quiet creek And some the Conestoga Yet they all are so unique [Verse] Long ago there were near a thousand Built and used in this state But time has not been very kind and I Worry about their fate [Chorus] Mama called them kissing bridges Back when I was young For many couples strolled across them and would try to sneak in one No matter if it's raining Or the day is blessed with sun Kissing bridges in Pennsylvania, I'm sure you'll find one [Instrumental interlude] [Final chorus] Mama called them kissing bridges (kissing bridges) Back when I was young For many couples strolled across them and would try to sneak in one (she called them kissing bridges) No matter if it's raining Or the day is blessed with sun Kissing bridges in Pennsylvania, I'm sure you'll find one Kissing bridges in Pennsylvania, I'm sure you'll find one Kissing bridges in Pennsylvania, I'm sure you'll find one [Outro]
