A little bit of everything - one never knows what the muse will produce. Everything from folk to rock to jazz and much that I can't seem to define. If you can,
Scott has drifted in and out of the creation of music from the humble abode known as "Chaos on Cardigan" for many years. With roots ranging from “my parents made me” piano lessons at 7 years old, to a Marshall stack dialed up to “eleven” in junior high, to classical piano study in his late teens (for which the practice sessions inevitably evolved into blues jams), to acoustic folk songs around the campfires to psychedelic jazz-rock-fusion, he is equally at home with and inspired by piano/keyboards, guitar, bass and acoustic percussion. He has publicly plied one manifestation of his creative energy on the keys with local rock ‘n’ roll bar bands such as Surreal McCoy, SmackDaddy, Lolita’s Bliss (chosen as the “Best New Artist” at the NH Seacoast Spotlight Awards in 2001), Junk in the Trunk, and now Talkin' Smack, and with various guest appearances and impromptu jams in nearly any genre imaginable and studio work on Cathy Sanborn’s highly acclaimed 2000 CD release, “It’s About Time”. All the while he has privately brought his own creations to life in fits and starts during the rare moments between the chaos generously provided by his wife and 3 children (now teenagers and musicians all). In the living room, the back yard and around the fireside, a chosen few have been subjected to the widely varied, often difficult to categorize musical musings of this mystified prophet, and now through the magic of technology, the rest of the world can have the opportunity to determine if there's any hope of repairing the damage..... At any rate, it is what it is, and hope you enjoy it!

Lyrics
Brownnose Charlie, everybody took him for a fool, Never had to work too hard in school, He just ignored the golden rule Brownnose Charlie, he had another way to get ahead Was always very careful with what he said He complimented everyone ahead Of his position in his life And he took everyone’s advise So they would know that he would always do Exactly what they wanted him to do. When I was younger I always tried to stand up straight and tall Didn’t care what others thought at all Even if it meant I’d take a fall Daddy always taught me that I had to earn my way ahead Mattered what I did, not what I said Had to use my deeds to get ahead To gain position in my life I only took my own advise I always knew that I would never do Exactly what they wanted me to do And it worked well too, I earned my way into A job that I really liked, and I met a pretty girl who became my wife And then we moved into a lovely neighborhood And met our neighbor by the name of Charlie who with his flattering remarks disarmed me I couldn’t see, What he would do to me Couldn’t predict, That he’d be such a prick And he would ruin me … mmm, mmm, mmm Brownnose Charlie was kissin’ up to everyone around me His lack of shame it did astound me And then misfortune finally found me Brownnose Charlie, he sucked up to my boss and to my wife He stole my job and the love of my life Left me with nothing, he burned me twice. Had only one thing left to do I cut him down, I ran him through And now his nose down in a grave you see And that’s exactly where I want him to be (repeat & ad lib)
