Modern Blues based Pop and Rock originals
Hailing from Nashville, Shay Dillon began as a young performer with her first appearance on Nashville television at the age of 13. She continued on as a teenage singer performing in Honky Tonk bands as well as personal appearances with other working musicians in the Nashville area. Over the past 5 years, Shay has been performing in Northern California and building a fan base throughout the region. Her music style varies from smokey down and dirty blues to soft sultry sounds from the soul. She has currently released her second album "Through the Fire" and a number of songs in her catalog are being considered for film and tv. Songs from her latest album are receiving international airplay and licensing. Featured on MoozikooRadio.com, Midnight Special Blues Radio (Live365.com & StreamSolutions.co.uk) and RadioFly1.com and Well Rounded Radio. She has been a consistent chart topper in Blues on Garageband.com and Broadjam.com earning her a larger international fan base and exposure. Shay has published works with Thomas Nelson Publishing and Aknackformusic based in Nashville and is presently included in MamaPUBlooza Publishing catalog. There are multitudes of independent musicians vying for a music niche but Shay’s incredible heart felt vocals are winning the hearts and respect of people all over the world. Sat Me Up! Garageband.com, dweeks I was literally bent over doing something on the floor when this song started, and I had to sit up and listen. Wow is this track good. Let me ramble for a minute. The groove/mood is awesome. Great musical mix to nail the mood. The song has that classic blues feel that I love. The vocals. While everything else on this track is hot, the vocals are the reason I WILL be adding it to my playlist and checking out your other music. Like a mix between Joss Stone and Donna Summer (and I really do mean that as a compliment). This is by far one of the best two or three tracks of any genre I've heard on GB. Great stuff - best of luck. No One Is Sleeping Through This Song! garageband.com, - CatawbaRecords No One Is Sleeping Through This Song! Wow!!! Outstanding Everything! I played this one several times for the sheer enjoyment of it! The vocals are perfect with a slightly raw-edged quality that I love and make this song really stand out! I found the lyrics catchy and worked well in the song. Its easy to tell this was well recorded and produced, everything sounds balanced just right! Not sure who this band sounds like because the singer makes their sound very unique! One of the best songs I've heard in the Blues category!!! Superb, top of the lot!!!RESPECT Soft mix here...wow, what a voice on this lady....I'm immediately drawn in by the ambience of the song. keys panned right, nice touch...good use of reverb to set the voice into the mix resulting in a timeless feel. The mood takes me away to some place, some comfortable place. Somehow, the song is heartbreaking with a sweet undertone. Even some of the best songs on this site fail to stir my memory and emotion. This is more than an intelectually stimulating listen...it's tearing my heart out. This is the kind of singing, that has me waiting for the lyric to come in for each verse.... Other songs that do this for me.... "When a man loves a Woman" (not the M Bolton version...the original) "Whiter Shade of Pale","Take care of Business" by Nina Simone, almost anything by Otis Redding, there are others, but they're all hits, no bootleg, generic track'll get me misty..... I'm very emotional right now, a song with this kind of attack and power in the singing, is rare, even amongst great songs. A five here is a must...no question... I'll be hearing this on the radio soon enough I'd imagine. I'm excited to hear more from these artists. Best blues I've heard yet on the site... RESPECT Clumsy Ninja

Story behind the song
We were not going to add this song to the album but appeared on a local radio show and the song was accidentally played and many people called in and said they loved it. We re-recorded with one take in our dining room on a 1914 piano...kids, animals etc. in and out but made it!
