Okay, okay, so I'm just one guy. But in the studio, I'm an entire band. I play electric and 6 & 12 string acoustic guitars, mandolin, bass, keyboards, and drums plus do all the vocals and write all the music. I'm self taught and don't read music except for maybe chord charts. Well maybe not entirely self taught-mom got me started since she was a guitarist/mandolinist herself. But she played by ear too so guess that's where I got it. Not that I didn't do my time in various bands. The last, Legacy, was a full time road band until 1983 when I finally got to a space in my life where I told myself there's got to be a better way than just playing covers for a living. And then I found digital recording. Way cool...........

Story behind the song
This was one of those tunes that just came out of the blue. The song practically wrote itself and I honestly feel like I had very little to do with it. Very strange......

©2006 Words and Music by Mark Cullen Io Music Ltd. All Rights Reserved We walked through these halls seems a lifetime ago When the days moved so painfully slow Our friends and antagonists swirled all around us And the future lay beyond the unknown We couldn't care about what we didn't know Trusting time for the knowledge to grow Now the old school is deserted of the spirits that soared in the unspoiled innocence of youth The windows dark and dusty with the passing of years Now an empty shell ravaged and mute Where the dreams and aspirations took root in the clay of ideals we hoped would bear fruit Our high school reunion Now we'll try to go back And recapture lost chapters in the book of our past This high school reunion How many have gone of the friends and the sweethearts we knew Will the memories stand up to review Are the roads less traveled too late to pursue? We smile and reminisce Shake our heads at the changes The years haven't always been so kind For some what was then is better than now There are those that always lose while some win We're all shaped by where we have been Now we'll remember the beginnings all over again At this high school reunion Where we try to go back to recapture lost chapters in the pages of our past A high school reunion So many have grown of the friends and the sweethearts we knew Will our lives stand up to review Are the roads not chosen too late to pursue?
