Story behind the song
A rather dissonant, dramatic effect resulted in this piece which mirrors the dissonant discussion, mainly from the republicans, that has been dribbling out of America’s Congress. The piece slogs along like the debates, and in the end the action gradually picks up to a hurried finish, just as Congress did to meet the deadline. This is my first attempt at this form of writing and I did stray from the original pattern on occasion. Comments are welcome.

Though I felt the flow of the tone of this piece, something about the pace/tempo felt slightly more harsh than it needed to be. Still a fine piece of work.

This feels very warm and spontaneous, like you improvised it at the moment itself. The walking bass and rhythm are the base here and this piece could have been made in the fifties or sixties for me. Very good! I really enjoyed this adventure.

Very intricate work here. Deep music composition with very interesting and exciting moments. Love the trumpet and overall brass work. Intricate arrangement...Outstanding!
