This is a remix of a song written and recorded by Doug Schroeder on 12/4/2021. This version includes my grandson, Elisha, on the violin.
After not being welcomed in his own country, Jesus went to other villages to teach.
Then he sent his disciples on a journey with his word the white harvest to reach.
After much success, they came back to him. Learning of Johns death, they sought a place to rest.
Many were coming and going, and they didnt even have time to eat.
So they took a boat across the sea where a large multitude theyd meet.
Jesus showed compassion to them, for they were like lost sheep. He told his disciples to give them something to eat.
They said how, Lord, it would take seven months wages to feed a crowd of this size.
We have only five loaves and two fishes. All these stomachs are bigger than our eyes.
Have them take a seat. Jesus blessed the food. They were all replete, fed by the hand of God.
And they gathered up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.
Jesus is the bread of life, and through Him, from sin and death we can be unchained.
